Lockdown at Middleton Grange School
Kia ora Middleton Whānau
Thank you for your understanding and support today during the events that took place in our city, and the lengthy lockdown that ensued.
Over the weekend I hope you have the opportunity to relax and spend time with your own whānau as you recover from the events of today. I’m grateful to our staff for the calm and sensible way in which they dealt with the lockdown. I’d especially like to acknowledge the leadership of Megan Cassidy as events unfolded, and all the planning and preparation that was done by Craig Utting last year to prepare for an occasion such as this.
The school week will begin as usual on Monday, and I encourage you to send your children to school even if they are a little anxious. It will be good for them to talk to friends, and we have Form Teachers, Deans and Counsellors available to assist.
If there are any further updates over the weekend, we will contact you via the school app and facebook page. Once again, we are so very proud of the staff and students of Middleton Grange School and would like to express our thanks.
