Covid-19 Update / 17 August 2021 / Alert Level 4
By now you will have heard the PM’s announcement at 6.10 pm regarding the latest Covid 19 developments which has resulted in the Auckland and Coromandel regions going into 7 days Lockdown as of 11.59 pm tonight and the rest of New Zealand going into lockdown Alert Level 4 for 3 days from 11.59 pm tonight.
This means school will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week.
Expectations for students
- The school site is now closed until Lockdown is lifted.
Years 1 to 6
- Parents to wait for Primary teachers to make contact with them re their learning requirements over the next few days.
Years 7 & 8
- Parents will receive communication from the Learning Team Leaders about Home Room work for the next 3 days.
Years 9 to 13
- Students will self manage their learning at home on Wednesday eg catching up with external prep / homework / other assignments
- Teachers will be posting during Wednesday on Teams, 1-2 periods of work per subject to be carried out over Thursday and Friday
- Teachers will not be available for face to face instruction during that time.
- All internal assessments will be held over until next week
- There will be no Whanau Time
