I am sure you will all have heard the Government announcement on Monday, 11 October 2021 about the requirement for School, early learning and support staff who have contact with children and students, as well as High-risk workers in the health and disability sector to receive vaccinations by certain dates later this year and early next year.
Since this announcement, we are receiving daily updates from the Ministry of Education to assist us with our planning around this matter and as I am sure you will appreciate, this is a sensitive and controversial issue, so as a school we want to ensure we follow good process, based on the best advice and information available.
As a result, the Middleton Grange School Board will be holding a special meeting to discuss this matter on Thursday evening 14 October, after which the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) will also meet on Friday 15 October (am) to discuss this matter also. Following this, on Friday afternoon, we hope to be able to update you further with our next communication via email.
