Sam Timmins on Top of the World

Y13 Pupil Sam Timmins (far right in the image) and his New Zealand U18 3 on 3 basketball team are sitting on top of the worldafter defeating Argentina in the final of the FIBA 3 on 3 World Basketball Championships in Hungary.
Sam and his team took on the best the world has to offer and came out triumphant with their mix of size, skill and athleticism.  
It has been a big couple of months for Sam after signing a full basketball scholarship with Washington University in Seattle earlier in May. This starts in 2016.
A huge congratulations to Sam, who has worked hard to achieve his goals, and has achieved what we believe to be a first for a current Middleton Grange pupil – the right to call himself a World Champion.
